alright, so…

i finally weighed myself in what seems like forever. i should’ve done it on Sunday when i started this new diet but oh well i am doing it now. i think i’ll weigh myself again in 17 days from today instead of sunday, just because i very likely could’ve lost a pound or so since sunday, and i wouldn’t know it if i weighed myself 17 days from sunday… does that make sense? like, i started the diet on sunday but will weight myself in increments of 17 days starting today… i think i’m just writing the clarification for my own purposes now haha

Hey Gang

So I’ve started a new diet (ugh, hate that word) this week. It’s called the 17 Day Diet, maybe some of you have heard of it before? It comes with a book that you’ve gotta read (mine’s coming in the mail, I’ve just gotten a head start). Basic rules are no sugar, red meat, grains, beans, nuts, cheese, potatoes… and probably some other stuff i can’t remember, but you get the picture. Basically lean meats, fish, vegetables, and certain fruits. And you only really need to exercise 17 minutes a day (hence the name) - but of course, more is always better. I’m only on day two but I actually kind of like it! The thing about this diet compared to others is that I actually KNOW it works. My parents did it for a bit and lost a lot and my sister’s on it now with her boyfriend and she’s lost 30lbs in probably about a month and a half? something like that. Anyway, she looks slammin’. I don’t think she’s been that thin since early high school and i am damn proud of her. Anyway (again), a problem I’ve had in the past with diets is that I’ve never really had proof of them working. And when they didn’t at first for me, I wouldn’t stick with it. I had no way of knowing what the future would hold. And now I do! So I’m giving this one a shot. Let me know if you have any questions about it, and I’ll be sure to keep you guys updated on how it’s going! Already pretty hard just because I have limited food choices at school, but i have been eating plenty of salad and grilled chicken and drinking a lot of water. I also don’t have a scale nearby so I’ll have to scour the campus in search of one to really keep track of this thing. Wish me luck, I’d love support from anyone who is on it or would like to try it! The more the merrier!

let me just say

that everyone in the weightloss community is just so wonderful and caring and bighearted and it is a joy to share my journey with you and vice versa

This is so important.  Love yourself at your HW, your CW, your UGW, and every weight in between.  You deserve nothing less.

agreed agreed agreed. if you’re beautiful on the inside then you are beautiful on the outside!
